DAVlD BERRY, Organist

David Berry studied piano with Moira Gilding and.organ with Kenneth Cunningharm, David Ouchterlony and David Cameron. A graduate of the University of Torento, he has served as organist for congregations at Thorncliffe Park in Toronto (with Protestant and Roman Catholic congregations sharing a single worship space), in Victoria at St. Joseph the Worker, Trinity Presbyterian and St. David-by-the-Sea, and as an accompanist and frequent guest organist at churches throughout the city. David serves on the executive of the Royal Canadian College of Organists Victoria centre, is Organ Custodian for the Pemberton Memorial Chapel at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, and can be heard year-round accompanying Sunday evening services at St. Luke's Anglican Church.


CAROLYN HOWE, Soprano

Carolyn Howe is well known in Victoria as a conductor, singer and music teacher. In July she participated in a tour of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia as a guest of the Linden Singers and perfonned in Festival 500 in St. John's Newfoundland. She is the music teacher at South Park Elementary School where she directs two children's choirs. She also directs the Mood Swing Chorus, a choir that unites people with mental illnesses with members of the larger community. Starting in September Carolyn will be developing a new community children's choir at First Metropolitan United Chturch. Carolyn is a member of Hexaphone, a six voice a capella vocal ensemble that performs frequently on Vancouver Island. For information on Hexaphone's upcoming season go to www.hexaphone.org.
