Welcome to the Parish Church of
Esquimalt. The ministry we celebrate dates back to the very earliest days when the Royal Navy
established a medical aid station here during the Crimean War (1854 - 1856). St. Paul's was the
fourth Anglican Church to be consecrated on Vancouver Island and is probably the oldest Anglican
Church in continuous service on the Island. Originally designated "the Naval" Church, various Naval
and Army Church parades have been held within this church. Evidence of our proud history is
displayed all around the church. |
